{"id":165957,"date":"2024-06-10T14:00:13","date_gmt":"2024-06-10T14:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=165957"},"modified":"2024-06-10T20:33:36","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T20:33:36","slug":"westjet-and-virgin-atlantic-expand-their-codeshare-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/06\/westjet-and-virgin-atlantic-expand-their-codeshare-agreement.html","title":{"rendered":"WestJet and Virgin Atlantic expand their codeshare agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Starting this winter, <strong>WestJet <\/strong>customers will have access to a list of international destinations through London Heathrow Airport, thanks to an expanded codeshare agreement with <strong>Virgin Atlantic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this expansion, WestJet will sell itineraries that include Virgin Atlantic-operated flights from London-Heathrow to destinations within its international network beginning in winter 2024\/2025. By summer 2025, the Canadian airline will provide domestic connectivity to the UK carrier&#8217;s recently announced route between London-Heathrow and Toronto-Pearson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/05\/westjet-launches-nonstop-flights-between-calgary-and-reykjavik-iceland.html\">WestJet launches nonstop flights between Calgary and Reykjavik, Iceland<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expanded partnership will provide travelers with one-stop access on a single ticket from Calgary via Virgin Atlantic&#8217;s Heathrow Hub to new destinations including New Delhi, Mumbai, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lagos, Nigeria, Dubai and the Maldives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough the expansion of our existing partnership with Virgin Atlantic, we are unlocking amazing opportunities for our guests to access an extensive list of new destinations and to experience Virgin Atlantic\u2019s innovative products and services beyond London,\u201d WestJet\u2019s John Weatherill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the expanded relationship, WestJet Rewards and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will be working towards a reciprocal frequent flyer partnership in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WestJet and Virgin Atlantic have had an established codeshare
