Spanish airline Iberia’s<\/strong> connectivity between Europe and Latin America this year will set a new record, with well over 5.3 million seats between the two regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, this capacity surpasses Iberia’s previous all-time record in Latin America, which in 2023 was nearly 4.6 million seats. Thus, this year’s total capacity represents a growth of 16.4% compared to last year, and of more than 20% compared to the figures recorded before the pandemic, in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Iberia will operate more than 320 flights a week, a figure far higher than the 280 flights that were recorded during last year’s summer season, or the 300 that created a ‘bridge’ on both sides of the Atlantic last Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several markets with historical figures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This increase in the overall operation between Europe and Latin America is reflected in the increases that Iberia has programmed in the different countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route between Argentina and Spain will close 2024 with three daily flights, representing a 50% growth compared to the previous winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brazil is another of the countries showing the greatest growth, thanks to the increase of up to 14 weekly frequencies that the route with Sao Paulo will have next winter season. The evolution has been staggered, increasing from 7 to 10 weekly frequencies in April, and to 11 from June, which will be maintained until September. Rio de Janeiro, on the other hand, has six weekly frequencies since June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Colombia, after the increase to three daily flights last winter season, the route between Bogota and Madrid will have 21 weekly frequencies throughout the year. This is the same capacity as the Mexican market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peru, on the other hand, will also have a historic capacity this year, consolidating 13 weekly frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santiago de Chile also has an additional flight between June and September to reach 11 weekly frequencies in this period, while the rest of the year will maintain the 10 weekly flights. Ecuador has the same capacity, as the route between Quito and Madrid will have a daily flight throughout 2024 (7 weekly frequencies), while Guayaquil will have three weekly frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montevideo (Uruguay) will also have a historic capacity this year, as it will have a daily flight throughout 2024, while Caracas, in Venezuela, will consolidate growth with up to five frequencies a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dominican Republic, which began the year with nine weekly frequencies in January and 10 in February, will register a further increase to 8 frequencies in November and 10 in December, which will continue to rise during the winter season in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puerto Rico shows a significant increase by having seven weekly frequencies during most months of the year, while last year the figure was between four and five. Havana, Cuba, will have three weekly frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Central America, the routes between Madrid and Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador will maintain the daily flight, while Panama will have four frequencies a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
