These eight, brand-new, fuel- and cost-efficient 737-8s will provide more fleet flexibility and additional capacity while supporting one of our sustainability goals of mitigating emissions,&#8221; said Michael Rousseau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/04\/air-canada-announces-more-flights-and-destinations-to-europe-asia-and-north-america-this-summer.html\">Air Canada announces more flights and destinations to Europe, Asia and North America this summer<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eight aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2024 and will undergo the necessary modifications before entering service in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These aircraft, which will join the 41 Boeing 737 MAX 8s currently operated by the airline, will initially have a single configuration (Economy) until they are reconfigured with
