This agreement aims to establish an aeronautical technician training program at ITSE, promoting the development of highly trained professionals and providing greater opportunities for young Panamanians in the country&#8217;s aviation industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt Copa Airlines, we firmly believe in the importance of technical education to develop and provide greater opportunities for local talent. This agreement with the Instituto T\u00e9cnico Superior Especializado will allow us to provide Panamanian students with the knowledge and opportunities needed to develop as professionals in the aviation industry. This collaboration will not only boost the professional growth of young Panamanians, but will also contribute to the strengthening of the aviation industry in Panama, as growth projections for the coming years will require more skilled labor in technical areas, thus generating greater benefits for the country,\u201d said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/07\/copa-airlines-to-increase-flights-to-florianopolis-brazil.html\">Copa Airlines to increase flights to Florian\u00f3polis, Brazil<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Milena G\u00f3mez Cede\u00f1o, Educational Manager and Rector of ITSE, a short-cycle higher education institution, said that this agreement represents a significant opportunity to promote educational, technical and research collaboration between both entities. \u201cWe are committed to offering our students learning experiences that integrate theory and practice, directly related to Copa Airlines&#8217; operations,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that, as part of the agreement, joint training programs could be designed, in which Copa Airlines&#8217; professional specialists would actively participate in key areas such as hospitality and tourism, business, the airline industry and logistics. In addition, the agreement contemplates offering competencies to both the ITSE educational community and Copa Airlines employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement seeks to create a strategic collaboration framework that allows ITSE students to access comprehensive training that combines theory and practice, facilitating their insertion into the labor market. The airline will provide support in equipping ITSE&#8217;s workshops and will provide advice based on its experience with Copa Airlines&#8217; Academy of Aeronautical Technicians (ATA). In addition, students will have the opportunity to carry out supervised internships at Copa Airlines&#8217; Maintenance Center, combining theory and practice in a real working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ITSE is expected to launch the aeronautical technician program in the first quarter of 2025, with two classes of approximately 20 students each and a duration of two years. Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to work for Copa Airlines, thus strengthening the demand for aeronautical technicians in Panama&#8217;s aviation industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is a complement to the efforts that, since 2014, Copa Airlines has been making through its Aeronautical Technicians Academy (ATA), to train young Panamanian talent highly trained in aeronautical systems maintenance and inspection work, and to the agreement with the Don Bosco Technical Institute signed last year. To date, approximately 130 students have graduated from ATA, while 117 are currently in the training process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"related-topics\">Related
