In July, Iberia Express<\/strong> beat its record number of passengers and flights in a single month: for the first time, it operated more than 4,000 flights with more than 700,000 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Balearic and Canary Islands, the airline’s main markets, figures also reached record highs in July, with nearly 1,600 flights and 300,000 passengers in the Canary Islands, and almost 1,000 flights and 175,000 passengers in the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In this year’s summer program, in addition to strengthening our capacity on the Canary and Balearic routes, we are growing in many international destinations and have recovered very attractive seasonal destinations such as Bari, Crete, Edinburgh and Iceland. The record figures for the month of July reflect our customers’ support for our operating model, which combines the advantages of low-cost flights with a very high quality of service and excellent punctuality,” said Isabel Rodr\u00edguez, commercial director of Iberia Express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the reinforcements in the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands, as the main novelties of its summer season, Iberia Express brought forward to April the operation with Edinburgh and Reykjavik; it has programmed important growth in routes such as Amsterdam, Berlin and Manchester, among others; and in June it recovered its flights to Bari and Heraklion, in addition to the cross routes from Vigo and Asturias to Tenerife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, in the 2024 summer program, Iberia Express will deploy nearly 5.2 million seats, 8% more than in 2023, and nearly 19% more than in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
