The program offers comprehensive training in maintenance and inspection of aeronautical systems, meeting the highest international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe success of the Aeronautical Technicians Academy reflects our commitment to the development of Panamanian talent. By investing in the training of these young people, we not only strengthen the technical capacity of our airline, but also boost the professional growth of our students. Each graduate represents an opportunity for the economic and social progress of our country and for the growth of the aviation industry in Panama,\u201d said Rafael Samudio, vice president of technical operations for Copa Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/08\/copa-holdings-reported-net-income-of-120-3-million-in-the-second-quarter-of-2024.html\">Copa Holdings reported net income of $120.3 million in the second quarter of 2024<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, ATA is forming five groups for a total of 119 students, 11% of whom are women. An additional group of 24 students is expected to start in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next application period will be open starting in October through the Copa Airlines website, in the \u201cWork with Us\u201d section. Those interested in applying must have a high school diploma recognized by the Ministry of Education and preferably be a graduate of a Vocational Technical College with a degree in technical areas such as Electromechanics, Electricity, Electronics, General Mechanics or Automotive Mechanics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Copa Airlines Despega Foundation provides a monthly financial contribution of $350, in addition to covering all transportation costs, insurance, uniforms and study materials. This comprehensive support ensures that students can fully concentrate on their education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the training provided by ATA, 90% of Copa Airlines&#8217; aircraft maintenance work is currently performed at the airline&#8217;s Maintenance Center at Tocumen International Airport. The short-term goal is to reach 100% of this work performed locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, as part of its efforts to strengthen the training of aeronautical technicians, in 2023 Copa Airlines signed an agreement with the Don Bosco Technical Institute and recently signed an agreement with the Instituto T\u00e9cnico Superior Especializado (ITSE). These alliances are essential to provide students with high quality training and to ensure a constant incorporation of trained talent into the Panamanian airline industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
