Irish low-cost airline Ryanair <\/strong>reported Tuesday that it carried 20.5 million passengers during August, up 8% from the same month in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said in a statement that this figure represents a new monthly record, in line with forecasts for a summer in which it is operating its most extensive flight schedule following the opening of 200 new routes and five new bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair also noted that its occupancy factor remained at 96% in the eighth month of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, the airline operated 111,800 flights during the past month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has indicated that he expects passenger traffic to grow by around 8% during the current fiscal year, which ends March 31, to between 198 million and 200 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
