The Dominican airline Arajet <\/strong>celebrated its second anniversary on September 15 and reported that it mobilized more than 120,000 passengers in August, surpassing the 100 passenger barrier for the third consecutive month, and continues to lead the movement of passengers registered among local airlines, maintaining a milestone in the country’s commercial aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These figures were obtained from the monthly report of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), which highlights that Arajet is the Dominican airline with the highest passenger flow from the country’s different airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They pointed out that during the month of August, the airline transported a total of 87,932 passengers who visited or departed from the Dominican Republic. They also pointed out that this figure includes 33,000 travelers who made connections to their final destination from the Las Americas International Airport, reaching a total of more than 120,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arajet has consolidated its position as the option for tourism and business travel in the Dominican Republic, aiming to turn the country into the new air hub for connections in the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victor Pacheco M\u00e9ndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, congratulated all employees for the second anniversary and said that these figures, which are breaking records month after month in commercial aviation in the Dominican Republic, are the stimulus to continue building the new era of local aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTogether we are democratizing the skies of the continent so that more people can fly and we have achieved in these two years countless milestones that have to encourage us to continue making history,\u201d said Pacheco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline indicated that it expects to end 2024 carrying approximately 1.2 million passengers, consolidating its exponential growth from Canada to the southern cone with the new routes that will be operating from Punta Cana International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
