LATAM Airlines Group<\/strong> has just launched a generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform for its 35,000 employees in six countries to optimize their work routines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Named Amelia in honor of aviator Amelia Earhart, the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean, the platform was developed by LATAM’s IT team in partnership with OpenAI. Based on renowned technologies such as GPT-4 and DALL-E 3, Amelia enables the company’s employees to better manage their time and focus their efforts on more strategic tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLATAM has been using artificial intelligence tools for some time, mainly to optimize the customer experience. After these experiences with excellent success rates, we decided to move to the stage of internalizing the use of AI for everyone in the company. Our goal is to decentralize the use of this technology, allowing all LATAM sectors to use tools that optimize their work routine. All in a very secure way, in a closed environment, preserving the company’s information,\u201d explained Juliana R\u00edos, vice president of Digital and IT at LATAM Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tools available on the Amelia platform for LATAM Group employees are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chat Livre: <\/strong>LATAM’s official Chatbot, developed with OpenAI’s GPT-4 technology, the tool works as a virtual assistant to speed up certain tasks, especially for the company’s administrative staff. By interacting with the assistant through text or audio, it is possible to obtain help to solve problems, translate texts into different languages, obtain support in writing and correcting texts, organize tasks, agendas and information, and carry out research on general knowledge, among other functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Images: <\/strong>A tool that allows LATAM users to unleash their imagination by generating images from text descriptions to illustrate internal corporate materials. The tool was built using DALL-E 3, an advanced version of the OpenAI model for generating visual elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RH+:<\/strong> A tool to accompany employees on their journey, gathering information about the company’s operational resources, benefits, systems and questions about the work environment. The tool uses artificial intelligence provided by a LATAM database to answer the user’s questions, interacting with them via text or voice chat, with special attention to accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who was Amelia Earhart<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amelia Earhart was an aviation pioneer and an advocate for women’s rights. Born on July 24, 1897 in the United States, she was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, a feat she accomplished in 1932. Earhart also broke other flight records and wrote books about her experiences in aviation. In 1937, during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe, she disappeared over the Pacific Ocean and was never found, becoming a legendary figure in aviation history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
