{"id":168593,"date":"2024-10-04T14:00:48","date_gmt":"2024-10-04T14:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=168593"},"modified":"2024-10-04T20:41:02","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T20:41:02","slug":"virgin-atlantic-and-sas-announce-codeshare-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/10\/virgin-atlantic-and-sas-announce-codeshare-partnership.html","title":{"rendered":"Virgin Atlantic and SAS announce codeshare partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Virgin Atlantic and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS)<\/strong> announced Friday a new codeshare agreement that will strengthen connections to and from major Scandinavian hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The codeshare partnership, which launches next week, means Virgin Atlantic customers travelling on flights from the US and Canada can purchase seamless onward connections through London Heathrow and Manchester, onto SAS\u2019s services to Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stavanger and Bergen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAS customers will also have the opportunity to connect via Heathrow onto Virgin Atlantic\u2019s Caribbean, African, Middle East and South Asian destinations, including Barbados, Jamaica, the Maldives, Cape Town and Johannesburg, subject to government approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/09\/sas-to-resume-nonstop-flights-between-copenhagen-and-seattle-in-2025.html\">SAS to resume nonstop flights between Copenhagen and Seattle in 2025<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following SAS\u2019 formal enrolment into SkyTeam on 1 September, of which Virgin Atlantic is the only UK airline, Flying Club members will receive instant earning and redeeming opportunities when travelling on the Scandinavian carrier. Additionally, SAS EuroBonus members will be able to earn and redeem their points across Virgin Atlantic services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Virgin Atlantic\u2019s Gold and Silver Flying Club members, alongside SAS EuroBonus members, can take advantage of SkyPriority services at London Heathrow and alongside airports in key Scandinavian gateways, with benefits including priority check in, baggage handling and boarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to launch a codeshare with our SkyTeam partners at SAS, enhancing our connectivity and offering greater customer benefits to our frequent
