{"id":169781,"date":"2024-12-02T12:30:45","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T12:30:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=169781"},"modified":"2024-12-02T13:38:00","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T13:38:00","slug":"qantas-to-take-delivery-of-its-first-airbus-a321xlr-in-april-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/12\/qantas-to-take-delivery-of-its-first-airbus-a321xlr-in-april-2025.html","title":{"rendered":"Qantas to take delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR in April 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Australian airline<strong> Qantas<\/strong> is a step closer to receiving its first<strong> A321XLR <\/strong>with the aircraft entering the final assembly line at Airbus\u2019 production facility in Hamburg, Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This marks a significant milestone in the Group\u2019s fleet renewal program, with the aircraft\u2019s major airframe components including the forward and rear fuselage, wings and iconic Flying Kangaroo tail coming together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft, which is scheduled to be delivered in April 2025, will be the first of 28 A321XLR aircraft on firm order (with purchase right options for more) as part of the progressive replacement of the Group\u2019s fleet of Boeing 737s over the next decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/10\/qantas-to-pay-us114000-to-3-sacked-workers-in-landmark-outsourcing-case.html\">Qantas to pay US$114,000 to 3 sacked workers in landmark outsourcing case<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, Iberia was the first airline globally to operate a commercial flight with the A321XLR. Qantas will be the first to operate the aircraft in Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new aircraft type will initially operate on domestic flights currently operated by 737 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese new aircraft are part of the biggest domestic fleet renewal program in Qantas\u2019 history, which is bringing significant improvements for customers and career
