LEVEL<\/strong>, an IAG Group airline, obtained its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) on Tuesday. This milestone for the company, which started its flights seven years ago, will allow it to consolidate its model and boost its commitment to the development of long-haul flights from Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in 2017 as a commercial brand operated by Iberia, the AOC turns LEVEL into an airline with operational autonomy and will provide it with greater agility to achieve its strategic objectives. LEVEL will thus have its own entity, results and processes within IAG, in the same way as the rest of the group’s airlines (Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia and Vueling).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To obtain this certification, the company has been required to double its office staff this year, creating a new Operations team and sizing the rest of the departments. Technical crews (commanders and co-pilots) and cabin crew will also form part of LEVEL’s new structure. To this end, the corresponding selection processes have already been held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE NEW STAGE OF LEVEL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company faces new challenges and opportunities in this new phase. One of the pillars of the airline’s future strategy is to continue developing the long-haul from Barcelona, helping to strengthen the intercontinental connection from Barcelona. Level will continue to strengthen direct connectivity between Barcelona and key airports in the Americas, such as its current destination cities: New York, Boston, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this new phase, LEVEL plans to welcome its seventh aircraft in the coming weeks and to have eight aircraft in its Airbus A330-200 fleet by 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will also continue to consolidate its Fly your Way philosophy, a value proposition that offers an affordable, easy and approachable travel experience to inspire people to explore the world their way with a personalized and differential service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
