{"id":169988,"date":"2024-12-09T13:13:11","date_gmt":"2024-12-09T13:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=169988"},"modified":"2024-12-09T13:13:12","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T13:13:12","slug":"air-india-announces-order-for-another-100-airbus-aircraft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/12\/air-india-announces-order-for-another-100-airbus-aircraft.html","title":{"rendered":"Air India announces order for another 100 Airbus aircraft"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Tata Group-owned <strong>Air India<\/strong> has officially disclosed orders it placed earlier for 10 A350 widebody and 90 single-aisle A320 Family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest aircraft order comes on top of the 40 A350 and 210 A320 Family aircraft ordered by Air India in 2023. Air India\u2019s total orderbook for Airbus aircraft now stands at 344 with six A350-900s having already been delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the company has selected the Flight Hour Services-Component service package to help optimize the performance and reliability of its A350 fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, the airline also placed orders with Boeing for 220 widebody and narrowbody aircraft, of which 185 are due for delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/11\/tata-sons-and-singapore-airlines-celebrate-air-india-and-vistara-merger.html\">Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines celebrate Air India and Vistara merger<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft and services orders are part of Air India\u2019s ongoing fleet modernisation programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith India\u2019s passenger growth outpacing the rest of the world, its significantly improving infrastructure and an aspirational young population increasingly going global, we see a clear case for Air India to expand its future fleet beyond the firm orders of the 470 aircraft placed last year. These additional 100 Airbus aircraft will help to position Air India on the path to greater growth and contribute to our mission of building Air India into a world-class airline that connects India to
