The European manufacturer, Airbus<\/strong>, has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving a production rate of 75 single-aisle aircraft per month by 2027. According to CEO Guillaume Faury, this ambitious plan is feasible thanks to investments made, supply chain optimization, and the early hiring of personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capacity Projection and Confidence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent statement to the press, Faury emphasized Airbus\u2019 confidence in reaching this goal: \u201cBy 2027, we will be fully operational with a production rate of 75 aircraft per month, and this is something we are very confident about.\u201d This production level represents a significant milestone for the company and the aviation industry at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This decision was partly due to unforeseen issues with engine supplier CFM, which affected deliveries last year and continue to impact current operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Faury assured that these setbacks are short-term and do not compromise the long-term objective: \u201cThe issues with CFM engines are absolutely not a problem for reaching the production rate of 75 aircraft per month.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coordination with Suppliers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mitigate future risks, Airbus is working closely with its suppliers to ensure each has a robust plan to address potential contingencies. As Faury explained, \u201cWe are moving at the pace of the slowest supplier,\u201d underscoring the importance of a synchronized and resilient supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about the possibility of exceeding 75 aircraft per month after 2027, Faury was clear: \u201cThe plan is to reach 75 aircraft per month and stay at that level for several years.\u201d This cautious approach aims to ensure that demand consistently exceeds supply, providing stability in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
