Colombia&#8217;s Civil Aviation Authority presented an impressive report that reflects the sustained growth of the sector, positioning the country as a leader in air connectivity in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Over 56 Million Passengers Transported<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, 56,560,000 passengers were transported through Colombian airports, an increase of 7,097,000 compared to the previous year, representing a growth of 14.3%. This surge is attributed to the strengthening of domestic and international routes, as evidenced by the following data:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Domestic Flights:<\/strong> Transported a total of 33,327,000 passengers, with a 12.1% increase compared to 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>International Flights: <\/strong>Registered 23,233,000 passengers, reflecting a growth of 17.8%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2025\/01\/colombia-civil-aeronautics-authorized-110-international-air-routes-between-2023-and-2024.html\">Civil Aeronautics authorized 110 international air routes between 2023 and 2024<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expansion of Connectivity and New Airlines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The year was also marked by the arrival of major airlines such as JetSmart, Emirates, Gol, Edelweiss, and the strengthening of companies such as LATAM, Avianca, Delta, and Iberia, significantly expanding Colombia&#8217;s connectivity and allowing easier and more frequent access to various regions of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Record Figures in Cargo <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only passenger transport stood out, but also cargo and mail. In 2024, 944,237 tons were transported, representing an increase of 75,130 tons compared to the previous year. This growth is crucial for economic development, facilitating national and international trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Commitment to Regions and the Future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government has boosted operations in remote areas such as Guapi, Yopal, Nuqu\u00ed, La Macarena, and Leticia, thus promoting regional development. This effort has led to substantial improvements in local economies and has enhanced tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead to 2025, the Civil Aviation Authority said it remains committed to continuous
