Dominican airline Arajet <\/strong>announced Tuesday the start of ticket sales to the United States. After almost two years of preparation, the first flight to this important market will take place in April, marking a milestone for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami, New York, and San Juan: New Horizons<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this initial phase, tickets are only available for flights to Miami, Florida. However, Arajet has confirmed that routes to New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico, will be added soon. The inaugural schedule indicates that the first flight will head to New York in April, followed by the first flight to Miami on Friday, April 11, and finally, operations to San Juan will begin a few days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, flights to Miami will have a frequency of four flights per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), with a plan to increase service progressively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Strategic Hub for the Caribbean<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arajet\u2019s founder and CEO, V\u00edctor Pacheco, emphasized the strategic importance of these new routes: “Our main goal is to transform the Dominican Republic into the new hub of the continent, allowing more people to fly at the best prices and with world-class service. To make this possible, it was essential to include the United States.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pacheco also expressed his gratitude for the support provided by President Luis Abinader and Tourism Minister David Collado, who facilitated the development of these operations in key cities for the Dominican diaspora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion will be supported by the arrival of three new Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft, which will bring Arajet\u2019s fleet to 13 planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
