The Brazilian manufacturer Embraer<\/strong> has reached a historic milestone in the last quarter of 2024. The company recorded an backlog valued at 26.3 billion dollars, the highest in its history. This increase represents a 40% year-over-year growth and a 16% quarter-over-quarter increase, with a leading book-to-bill ratio of 2.2 in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increase in Aircraft Deliveries<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the last quarter of 2024, Embraer delivered 75 aircraft, representing a 27% increase compared to the previous quarter (59 aircraft in 3Q24) and matching the same period in 2023 (4Q23). For the full year, the company delivered 206 aircraft, a 14% increase compared to the 181 aircraft delivered in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commercial Aviation: Sustained Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The backlog in Commercial Aviation reached 10.2 billion dollars in the fourth quarter, representing a 15% year-over-year increase, though an 8% quarterly decline due to strong seasonal demand for deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embraer delivered 31 new aircraft in the last quarter and 73 in total in 2024, meeting the revised estimates of 70-73 units and within the original range of 72-80 units. This segment closed 2024 with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A notable point was the order of 2 E195-E2 aircraft by Luxair, bringing the total number of this model in its fleet to 6. Currently, Embraer has 179 firm orders for the E2 Jets family and 164 orders for the E1-175 Jet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Executive Aviation: A New Record<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Executive Aviation, the backlog reached 7.4 billion dollars, with a 70% year-over-year increase and a 67% quarterly increase, driven by a contract with Flexjet for the purchase of 182 aircraft of the Phenom 300E, Praetor 500, and Praetor 600 models, with deliveries between 2026 and 2030 and up to 30 additional options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the last quarter, 44 executive jets were delivered, totaling 130 aircraft in 2024, the highest level in 14 years. The segment ended the year with a book-to-bill ratio of 2.7. The Praetor 500 and 600 models accounted for half of the deliveries (22 units), while the Phenom 300 was the best-selling model with 19 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services and Support: 50% Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Services and Support business increased its backlog to 4.6 billion dollars, a 50% year-over-year increase and a 30% quarterly increase. This growth was driven by long-term contracts with Flexjet, Air Serbia, LOT Polish Airlines, and CommuteAir. These airlines will receive support through the Pool and Part Exchange Plus programs, which ensure maintenance and spare parts provision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defense and Security: Success with C-390 Millennium and A-29 Super Tucano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Defense and Security sector, the backlog rose to 4.2 billion dollars, a 67% year-over-year increase and a 15% quarterly increase, thanks to new orders for the C-390 Millennium (4 units) and the A-29 Super Tucano (10 units). Currently, Embraer has 32 firm orders for the C-390 Millennium and 17 orders for the A-29 Super Tucano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
