Over the past two years, LATAM Airlines<\/strong> has experienced significant growth in its fleet, achieving a 12% increase thanks to the incorporation of 30 new aircraft delivered directly from the factory since January 2023. These new aircraft belong to the Airbus A320neo family and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, state-of-the-art models that reduce fuel consumption by 20-25% compared to previous models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expansion Plan and Acquisition of New Aircraft Until 2030<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LATAM has secured the acquisition of over 120 aircraft until 2030 through strategic agreements with Airbus and Boeing. As part of this expansion, the group recently announced the additional purchase of 10 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, securing the limited production slots available until the end of the decade and solidifying its position as the largest operator of this model in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabin Modernization and Onboard Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LATAM has also made progress in renovating its cabins to enhance the passenger experience. To date, 100% of its single-aisle fleet and 57% of its wide-body fleet have been modernized, with new seats, onboard entertainment systems, and design improvements. Additionally, the group has promoted the implementation of free Wi-Fi for LATAM Pass customers on domestic and regional flights operated by narrow-body aircraft. Currently, the service covers 100% of the fleet in Brazil and 75% of the subsidiaries in Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cargo Fleet Expansion: A 70% Increase in Capacity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The company has strengthened its cargo fleet, reaching 21 aircraft after completing its passenger-to-freighter conversion program. This initiative, launched in 2021, has resulted in a 70% increase in cargo capacity compared to 2019, consolidating LATAM’s position in the region’s air freight transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
