Aerom\u00e9xico <\/strong>has taken another step in expanding its international connectivity with the inauguration this Thursday of its new non-stop route between Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and Cartagena. This service makes the Walled City the airline’s third destination in Colombia, joining Bogot\u00e1 and Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Route Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airline will operate daily flights to Cartagena using modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with a capacity of 166 passengers: 16 seats in Premier Class, 18 seats in AM Plus, and 132 seats in the Main Cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Mexico City — Cartagena:<\/strong> Departure at 09:30, arrival at 14:30.
– Cartagena — Mexico City: <\/strong>Departure at 16:00, arrival at 19:25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growth in the Colombian Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the addition of this route, Aerom\u00e9xico will operate a total of 70 weekly flights between Mexico and Colombia, representing a 25% increase in its operations in the South American country. This translates to a weekly offering of 11,600 seats, strengthening connectivity between both nations and promoting tourism and business in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aerom\u00e9xico, expressed his enthusiasm for this new milestone for the airline: “It is a great pride for us to inaugurate the third direct route that increases connectivity between Mexico and Colombia by 25% and brings both countries closer than ever.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As Mexico’s global airline, we add this milestone to our recognition as the most punctual airline in the world and to our 90 years of bringing the best of Mexico to every destination we fly to,” added Mulinelli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, the airline announced that it will fly to Cali starting next summer. Aerom\u00e9xico is expected to provide further details on the start date of this operation in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
