Wingo<\/strong> continues its growth in the Colombian market by adding 2,680 additional flights to its domestic routes. This increase represents an average of 108 extra flights per month, translating to a 10% boost in capacity for the upcoming operational season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting on March 30, 2025, when the summer season begins according to the IATA schedule, thousands of new seats will be available for passengers. In terms of supply, this means over 20,000 extra seats per month, accumulating a total of 500,000 additional seats compared to the previous season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expansion Driven by Demand<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“For 2025, at Wingo, we aimed to further enhance our network product because we listened to our travelers’ requests. The increased demand for our domestic network product led us to offer these additional flights on 10 of our domestic routes,” stated Jorge Jim\u00e9nez, Vice President of Commercial and Planning at the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This increase not only improves connectivity within the country but also strengthens the airline’s presence in an increasingly competitive market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Routes with the Highest Growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Some routes stand out due to their significant increase in available seats. The connections between Bogot\u00e1-Cali, Bucaramanga-Bogot\u00e1, Medell\u00edn-Cartagena, and Medell\u00edn-Santa Marta lead the growth, with a capacity increase of over 20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other routes, such as Bogot\u00e1-Armenia, Bogot\u00e1-Cartagena, Barranquilla-Medell\u00edn, and Bogot\u00e1-Medell\u00edn, will see increases ranging from 7% to 19% in the number of scheduled flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Route and Leadership in the Low-Cost Segment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wingo also highlights the strong sales performance of its new domestic route, Bucaramanga-Santa Marta, which will begin operations on March 30 with two weekly frequencies. This connection positions the airline as a pioneer in directly linking the capitals of Santander and Magdalena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In 2025, Wingo will continue to work towards being the low-cost airline with the most robust operation in the national territory in terms of the number of routes offered, destinations served, and operational aircraft. With these capacity increases, we will enable the achievement of our goals for the year, including transporting nearly 3.6 million travelers,” concluded Jim\u00e9nez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this expansion strategy, the airline reaffirms its commitment to the connectivity and accessibility of air transport in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
