With this purchase, the company increases its direct order portfolio with Airbus to 60 aircraft from the A320neo family, of which 37 have already been delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimitris Gerogiannis, CEO of AEGEAN, emphasized the importance of this expansion: &#8220;The expansion of our investment plan with the addition of eight Airbus A321neo aircraft is essential to achieving our growth objectives and strengthening the competitiveness of our operations. Furthermore, our preference for the higher-capacity and longer-range version of the A321neo family is evident, as it will soon represent two-thirds of our Airbus fleet.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2025\/03\/jackson-square-aviation-bets-on-airbus-order-for-50-a320neo-aircraft.html\">Jackson Square Aviation Bets on Airbus: Order for 50 A320neo Aircraft<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benoit de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, Executive Vice President of Sales for Airbus Commercial Aircraft, stated: &#8220;We are pleased that AEGEAN has once again chosen the efficient A321neo. This decision reflects their commitment to operational excellence and enhancing the passenger experience. We value our collaboration with Greece\u2019s largest airline and look forward to continuing to support their growth plans in Europe and beyond.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Airbus A321neo, the largest model in the A320neo family, stands out for its efficiency and range. Thanks to its new-generation engines and Sharklets, it offers a more than 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO\u2082 emissions compared to previous generations of single-aisle aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like all Airbus aircraft, the A321neo is already certified to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with the goal of reaching 100% by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this strategy, AEGEAN is not only modernizing its fleet but also committing to more sustainable and efficient aviation, solidifying its position as one of Europe\u2019s most
