The Spanish airline Iberia <\/strong>continues to strengthen its presence in the international market by adding three new long-haul destinations for the upcoming winter season. The airline will operate direct flights to Orlando (USA), Fortaleza, and Recife (Brazil), expanding options for passengers traveling to the Americas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orlando: A New U.S. Destination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On October 26, 2025, Iberia will launch its new route between Madrid and Orlando, Florida, with four weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). The flights will be operated by Airbus A330 aircraft, with a capacity of 254 passengers. Pending government approval, the airline will offer over 46,000 seats to this destination during the winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orlando is one of the top tourist destinations in the United States, thanks to its world-famous theme parks, the space industry at Cape Canaveral, and its international convention center. Commenting on the launch, Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Sol\u00e1s, Iberia\u2019s Director of Commercial, Customer, Network Development, and Alliances, stated: “Thanks to our partnership with Disney Destinations, we believe Orlando could become the star destination for the upcoming Christmas season.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brazil: Iberia Strengthens Its Presence in South America<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Iberia\u2019s major bet for the 2025-2026 winter season will be Brazil. Currently, the airline already operates 14 weekly flights to S\u00e3o Paulo and five to Rio de Janeiro. With the addition of Recife and Fortaleza, the company will significantly expand its offerings in the South American country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madrid-Recife:<\/strong> The route will launch on December 13, 2025, with three weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday), increasing to five starting in February 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madrid-Fortaleza: <\/strong>Iberia will begin operations on January 19, 2026, with three weekly flights (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday), increasing to four in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both routes will be operated using the Airbus A321XLR, a narrow-body aircraft with a range of up to 7,500 km. This model is one of the most efficient on the market, offering fuel savings of over 40% compared to wide-body aircraft. Additionally, it provides a high-quality travel experience with its Airspace cabin and a two-class configuration (Business and Economy) with 182 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Sol\u00e1s highlighted the potential of the Brazilian market: “With the addition of the A321XLR, we can explore new transatlantic routes and tailor our offerings based on demand.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iberia Reinforces Its Commitment to Brazil<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the 2025-2026 winter season, Iberia will operate flights to four destinations in Brazil: S\u00e3o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Recife, and Fortaleza. In total, the airline will offer nearly 284,000 seats between Spain and Brazil, solidifying its presence in the South American country and expanding options for both business and leisure travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this expansion, Iberia reaffirms its growth strategy in the Americas, prioritizing connectivity and efficiency in its long-haul operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
