Delta Air Lines <\/strong>marks a milestone in aviation by becoming the first U.S. airline to celebrate its centennial. To commemorate this achievement, it has completely renovated the Delta Flight Museum<\/strong>, a space dedicated to preserving its legacy and connecting with the public through interactive experiences and historical exhibits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located at Delta\u2019s headquarters in Atlanta, the museum officially reopens its doors on Monday, April 7, showcasing a comprehensive overhaul of its facilities. Its expansive hangars now house interactive exhibits that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the airline\u2019s culture and explore the evolution of commercial aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the new features, the museum introduces Delta Connects You, an extended reality experience that highlights the airline\u2019s impact on connecting cultures and people worldwide. Additionally, the exhibits offer an up-close look at the company\u2019s history, from its early days to the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inauguration in 1995, the Delta Flight Museum has been a benchmark for aviation enthusiasts and curious travelers. With this renovation, it also becomes an exclusive event space, available for corporate meetings, conferences, and special celebrations, including weddings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta\u2019s commitment to preserving its legacy is reflected in the work of its archive team. Marie Force, Director of Archives, emphasizes the importance of conserving historical artifacts, from aircraft models to employee uniforms and engine parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Preserving and sharing Delta\u2019s history is not just about honoring our past but also inspiring future generations of aviation professionals,” said Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum\u2019s renovation, which took over a year to complete, was funded by The Delta Air Lines Foundation and donations from employees, retirees, and friends of the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legacy Hangar: The Early Years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously known as “Hangar 1,” this space is dedicated to Delta\u2019s beginnings in commercial aviation. It features a special area for children, a new lounge for events, and enhanced visitor experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spirit Hangar: From the Jet Age to the Present<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formerly “Hangar 2,” this section covers the airline\u2019s evolution from the 1960s to today. It\u2019s a journey through Delta\u2019s transformation into one of the world\u2019s leading airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Commitment to the Future of Aviation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beyond being a historical space, the Delta Flight Museum also aims to inspire new generations. Through educational programs and school visits, it showcases diverse career opportunities in aviation, from maintenance technicians to cabin crew and pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renovation was designed and produced by Imagine Exhibitions, an Atlanta-based company specializing in world-class exhibits and attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
