Porter Airlines<\/strong> has updated its summer 2025 flight schedule with a significant increase in capacity and the addition of new strategic routes. During this season, 80% of its network will focus on domestic flights, a 5% increase over the originally planned figure. Despite some targeted reductions in U.S. markets, the airline will expand its U.S. presence by 25% compared to the previous summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support this expansion, Porter will add 10 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft compared to 2024, bringing its total fleet of these modern jets to 44, as part of an order for up to 100 units. These will operate alongside the regional fleet of 29 De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin Jackson, President of Porter Airlines, emphasized the importance of this growth: “Our goal is to fly where our customers want to travel, and right now, Canada is on many people\u2019s lists.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new route between Toronto Pearson and Moncton complements existing flights from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Ottawa to Moncton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Porter will also grow its cross-border network with new connections between Toronto Pearson and New York LaGuardia, as well as Montreal and Newark. Additionally, seasonal winter routes to Phoenix and San Diego will be extended into the summer, while flights to Las Vegas and San Francisco will see increased annual capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jackson highlighted the rising demand in the U.S.: “We\u2019ve increased capacity in the U.S. market by 25% year-over-year. Based on current bookings, passenger numbers on our cross-border routes have outpaced our capacity growth, demonstrating travelers\u2019 interest in Porter\u2019s differentiated experience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
