Wingo<\/strong> inaugurated its non-stop flights between Bucaramanga and Santa Marta this Friday. This marks the airline\u2019s second route from Palonegro International Airport and its third from Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The significance of this route lies in it being the first time these two cities are directly connected by air, a milestone for regional mobility. In just one hour, travelers can journey between the \u201cBeautiful City\u201d and one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Colombian Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frequencies and Capacity of the New Route<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The operation includes two weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays, a schedule designed to accommodate weekend getaways and tourist travel. Wingo has made approximately 3,000 monthly seats available for both directions, bolstering the supply of affordable direct flights from Bucaramanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new link complements the existing route between Bucaramanga and Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jorge Jim\u00e9nez, Wingo\u2019s Vice President of Commercial and Planning, expressed optimism about the expected results: \u201cWe are confident that this new low-cost route will boost tourism between both cities, benefiting their economic and commercial development. We already foresee very positive outcomes, as reflected in the projected occupancy rates for these initial flights.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fares<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are now available on the airline\u2019s website, with promotional launch fares starting at COP 109,000 per one-way trip in the basic category, which includes one personal item. This competitive pricing reinforces Wingo\u2019s commitment to democratizing air travel without sacrificing service quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this new route, Wingo strengthens its presence in the domestic market, aiming to connect regions with high tourism and commercial potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
