Volotea <\/strong>announced this Wednesday the launch of a new exclusive route between Seville and Bordeaux, starting November 4, 2025. The news was revealed at the Routes Europe 2025 event, one of the most important gatherings in the European aviation industry, by Carlos Mu\u00f1oz, founder and CEO of Volotea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route Details: Frequencies and Capacity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new connection will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, a frequency designed to offer flexibility for both leisure and business travelers. Volotea plans to provide over 14,800 seats across approximately 84 flights during the winter season. This launch not only diversifies the range of destinations from Seville but also strengthens the city’s strategic position as a key hub in the airline’s network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Record Growth for Volotea in Seville<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the addition of this new route, Volotea achieves its highest number of connections operated from Seville Airport. Currently, the airline flies from the Andalusian capital to Bilbao, San Sebastian, Santander, and Asturias. In total, Volotea will offer 280,000 seats from Seville in 2025, representing a 12% increase compared to 2024 and an impressive 98% growth since 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Enhanced Travel Experience: Collaboration with La Cit\u00e9 du Vin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Volotea doesn\u2019t just connect destinations\u2014it also aims to enrich its passengers’ experiences. That\u2019s why the new Seville-Bordeaux route includes a special collaboration with La Cit\u00e9 du Vin, the world\u2019s largest museum dedicated to wine culture. This cultural center features interactive exhibitions, wine-tasting workshops, a cellar with wines from around the globe, gourmet dining areas, and a viewpoint with spectacular scenery. It\u2019s an opportunity to turn every trip into a chance to discover, savor, and learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gabriel Schmilovich, Volotea\u2019s Chief Strategy Officer, emphasized the significance of this expansion: “At Volotea, we remain committed to providing the best connections between small and medium-sized cities in Europe. That\u2019s why we\u2019re thrilled to offer Seville residents this new direct link to the French city of Bordeaux, renowned as one of the world\u2019s wine capitals.” He also highlighted the importance of making the announcement at Routes Europe, reinforcing the airline\u2019s ties with Seville, a city from which they\u2019ve transported nearly 1.4 million passengers since 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
