This new route makes the capital of Tennessee the airline\u2019s 18th destination in North America, with four weekly flights operating through late October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flight, which lasts approximately seven hours, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Partnership with Southwest Airlines for Enhanced Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights of this new route is the recent partnership between Icelandair and Southwest Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/01\/icelandair-expands-its-network-announces-flights-to-miami.html\">Icelandair Expands Its Network: Announces Flights to Miami<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting May 12, travelers flying with Icelandair will enjoy seamless connections via Nashville and Denver to the rest of North America through Southwest\u2019s network. Similarly, customers of the U.S. carrier will gain access to Icelandair\u2019s European and Icelandic destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to launch this service between Nashville and Iceland and are delighted by the excellent response we\u2019ve seen. This new connection links Music City with Iceland and our 39 cities across Europe. Today, we\u2019re also announcing the expansion of our partnership with Southwest Airlines, enabling connections via Nashville and Denver to Iceland and Europe, in addition to our gateway in Baltimore.
