LATAM Airlines Per\u00fa <\/strong>will launch a direct route between Lima and Florian\u00f3polis, the capital of Brazil\u2019s Santa Catarina state, starting December 2, 2025. This operation marks a milestone for Peruvian aviation, as it is the first time a Peruvian carrier will connect both cities directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new route will operate with three weekly frequencies: flights from Lima to Florian\u00f3polis (LA 2394) will depart on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 23:40, arriving at 06:20 the following day. Return flights (LA 2395) will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 07:10, with an estimated arrival in Lima at 10:20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operational Details: Aircraft, Capacity, and Duration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The flights will be operated using Airbus A319 aircraft (with seating for 12 Premium Economy and 126 Economy passengers) and\/or Airbus A320 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 168 Economy and 8 Premium Economy passengers. The average flight duration is five hours, representing a significant improvement over previous connections via S\u00e3o Paulo and reducing travel time by up to three hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixth Direct Route Between Peru and Brazil<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With this new addition, LATAM Per\u00fa will offer a total of six direct routes to Brazil, joining its existing connections to S\u00e3o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bras\u00edlia, Curitiba, and Porto Alegre. The Lima\u2013Florian\u00f3polis route is expected to serve approximately 43,000 passengers annually, further solidifying the Jorge Ch\u00e1vez Airport\u2019s role as a key regional hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Manuel van Oordt, CEO of LATAM Airlines Per\u00fa, the expansion aligns with a regional connectivity strategy: “With these direct flights, Florian\u00f3polis becomes the sixth destination we will operate to and from Brazil, opening a market full of opportunities for business and tourism exchange with the state of Santa Catarina. It also strengthens Lima\u2019s hub by connecting Florian\u00f3polis to major destinations in North America and the Caribbean, such as New York City, Los Angeles, and the beaches of Aruba and Canc\u00fan.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
