Avianca<\/strong> has announced its relocation to the new Terminal 6 (T6) at New York\u2019s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)<\/strong> starting in 2026. With this decision, the airline becomes the first Latin American carrier to choose this state-of-the-art terminal as its operational base, joining a select group of international airlines that will call this cutting-edge facility home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Strategic Step in JFK\u2019s Transformation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new Terminal 6 is part of the ambitious modernization plan for JFK led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This $19 billion project aims to completely transform the airport with two new terminals, the expansion and renovation of two others, a ground transportation center, and a streamlined road network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the consortium responsible for building and operating T6, will host Avianca alongside other renowned airlines such as JetBlue, Lufthansa, Air Canada, Cathay Pacific, SWISS, and Aer Lingus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
