Arajet <\/strong>announced this Monday a significant expansion of its operations between the Dominican Republic and Argentina. Starting in October of this year, the airline will increase its weekly flights on the Punta Cana-Buenos Aires route from 7 to 13, a growth that reflects the strong demand from Argentine passengers for Caribbean destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the expansion doesn\u2019t stop there. Beginning December 12, Arajet will resume direct flights between Santo Domingo and Buenos Aires, with two weekly frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Promotion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of its strategy to encourage travel, the airline launched an exclusive promotion for the Argentine market. Using the code HOTARG25, travelers can enjoy a 40% discount on tickets to the Dominican Republic and other destinations in Arajet\u2019s network, including New York, Boston, Miami, and San Juan. This offer will be available until May 15 and can be used for flights through March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surge in Argentine Tourists to the Dominican Republic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arajet\u2019s expansion coincides with a notable increase in Argentine tourism to the Dominican Republic. According to data from the Dominican Ministry of Tourism, between January and April 2025, the number of Argentine visitors grew by 98%, reaching 163,000 tourists during that period. This growth positions Argentina as the third-largest source of tourists to the Caribbean nation, accounting for 6% of total visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boost in air connectivity has been key to this increase in tourist flow, with Arajet playing a leading role in this expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00edctor Pacheco M\u00e9ndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, highlighted the importance of the Argentine market for the airline. “Buenos Aires will become the destination with the most flights in our network, and we are making this commitment because Argentines love visiting the Dominican Republic, and Dominicans love traveling to Argentina,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pacheco also emphasized that Arajet\u2019s operations not only promote tourism but also trade and cultural exchanges between the two countries. “Our flights are increasing tourism between our nations (\u2026) and customers are satisfied with our quality service and new aircraft,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arajet began operations to Buenos Aires on November 15, 2023, connecting Las Am\u00e9ricas International Airport (Santo Domingo) with Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza). It became the first airline to offer direct flights between the two capitals and remains the only Dominican international airline operating at Argentina\u2019s main airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
