The Lufthansa Group<\/strong>, the parent company of Lufthansa Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, and Eurowings, has unveiled its ambitious winter flight schedule for 2025\/2026, now available for booking. Operations begin on October 26, 2025, with the airline aiming to strengthen its global network, enhance passenger experience, and solidify its position as Europe\u2019s leader in air connectivity during the peak season, especially over the Christmas holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Record Winter for Lufthansa: More Allegris, More Long-Haul<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of the new schedule is the expansion of the “Allegris” cabin system, which marks a leap in quality across all classes\u2014Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First. Ten of Lufthansa\u2019s A350-900 aircraft already feature this new interior, tested by over half a million passengers, with satisfaction rates nearing 100%. Starting in October, the airline will deploy these aircraft from Munich to: New York (JFK and Newark), Chicago, Miami, Shanghai, Cape Town, Tokyo, and Bengaluru (India).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be the highest number of Allegris-equipped destinations operating simultaneously since its launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, preparations are underway to introduce the new cabin in Frankfurt with Boeing 787-9 aircraft and to modernize the existing Boeing 747-8 fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustained Demand: Lufthansa Retains New European Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lufthansa has confirmed the continuation of its Frankfurt\u2013Bydgoszcz (Poland) and Munich\u2013Oradea (Romania) routes, which debuted in the summer of 2025, due to strong demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has also finalized the Airbus A380 destinations from Munich for the winter season. Fans of the iconic aircraft can fly to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Bangkok, and Delhi\u2014a clear commitment to high-demand routes with the fleet\u2019s flagship plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Innsbruck, Amsterdam will join as the fourth destination alongside Brussels, Warsaw, and Copenhagen. From Vienna, flights to Bangkok will increase to up to twice daily. Additionally, all Milan flights will operate at Linate Airport (instead of Malpensa), thanks to the acquisition of slots from ITA Airways, now part of the Lufthansa Group. This change significantly reduces travel time to central Milan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Swiss carrier continues its focus on Eastern Europe with routes from Zurich to Krakow, Cluj-Napoca, and Ko\u0161ice. Flights from Zurich to Washington D.C. will also remain. From Geneva, SWISS is strengthening connections to the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia, targeting winter travelers and ski enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reinforcing its role as the “Africa expert,” the Belgian airline will add frequencies to Lom\u00e9 (Togo), Dakar (Senegal), Conakry (Guinea), Monrovia (Liberia), Accra (Ghana), and Freetown (Sierra Leone)\u2014a strategic move to bolster its strongest market outside Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
