Qatar Airways <\/strong>has definitively canceled its order for 25 Boeing 737 MAX 10<\/strong> aircraft, an acquisition originally made during its dispute with Airbus over issues related to the paint on A350 planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The information was confirmed by the airline\u2019s CEO, Badr Al-Meer, in an interview with Bloomberg, where he also discussed the recent mega-order for 160 wide-body aircraft from Boeing, estimated at $96 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full Cancellation, No Conversion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rumors about a possible cancellation emerged in December. According to Bloomberg, sources close to the negotiations indicated that the 737 MAX 10 no longer aligned with Qatar Airways’ operational fleet needs. At the time, speculation suggested the company might switch the order to the 737 MAX 8 model. Ultimately, the airline chose to cancel the purchase entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original order, placed during the 2022 Farnborough Airshow, had been highlighted by Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ then-President and CEO, Stan Deal, as an “ideal solution for Qatar Airways’ regional network.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
