Aerom\u00e9xico<\/strong> announced this Tuesday that it has begun equipping its fleet of Embraer 190 <\/strong>aircraft with high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, enhancing the travel experience for its passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six Aircraft Already Connected, with More to Come<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To date, six Embraer 190 aircraft\u2014operated by its subsidiary Aerom\u00e9xico Connect\u2014are already equipped with onboard internet service, provided by Viasat. These aircraft are ready to offer connectivity starting June 3, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan is ambitious: to have eleven connected aircraft by the end of this year and to complete the implementation across all 34 Embraer 190s owned by the company by early 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andr\u00e9s Casta\u00f1eda, Executive Vice President of Digital and Customer Experience at Aerom\u00e9xico, emphasized the company\u2019s commitment to excellence: “Our passengers will enjoy a more pleasant flight by staying connected throughout their journey with free messaging. They will also be able to stream their favorite content, send emails, or connect to their social media through a reliable, high-quality connection like the one Viasat provides when purchasing special packages.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This upgrade in passenger experience positions Aerom\u00e9xico among the world\u2019s most advanced airlines in terms of onboard digitalization and connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Strategic Partnership with History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aerom\u00e9xico and Embraer have maintained a commercial relationship since 2007. Meanwhile, the collaboration with Viasat began in 2018, when the telecommunications company started providing connectivity for some of the group\u2019s aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These partnerships reflect a consistent strategy of technological investment, strengthening the airline\u2019s value proposition and reinforcing its image as a modern operator focused on the real needs of its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Connectivity for All: A Promise Fulfilled<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once the project is completed in 2027, Aerom\u00e9xico will offer free messaging across its entire flight network. This step enhances the user experience and raises the standard for the regional industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In-flight connectivity will no longer be a luxury but an essential part of the service, and Aerom\u00e9xico is determined to lead that change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
