Scoot<\/strong>, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, celebrated its inaugural non-stop flight between Singapore and Vienna<\/strong>, marking a milestone in air connectivity between Asia and Europe. This new route, operated three times weekly with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, makes Scoot the only airline offering direct flights between the two cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight touched down at Vienna International Airport this past Tuesday, where it was greeted with the traditional water cannon salute. The ceremony was attended by representatives from Scoot, the airport, the Austrian Tourist Office, the Vienna Tourist Board, and other key players in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To commemorate this debut, passengers were treated to Vienna-themed gifts, such as artisanal chocolates and paper fans inspired by the Austrian capital\u2019s rich culture. Additionally, the renowned Singaporean string quartet T\u2019ang Quartet performed onboard the inaugural outbound and return flights, adding an exclusive touch to the travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new route between Vienna and Singapore not only enhances our airport\u2019s connectivity with Asia but also fosters cultural exchange and access between the two regions. With Vienna as its latest addition, Scoot expands its network to 73 destinations across 18 countries and territories in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe. This new route underscores the airline\u2019s commitment to providing affordable and direct options for international travelers, solidifying its role as a key player in the long-haul low-cost segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
