JetSMART and American Airlines<\/strong> have taken a key step in their partnership: travelers can now redeem AAdvantage <\/strong>miles across the entire network of flights operated by the South American airline, both domestic and international. This integration makes AAdvantage one of the first global loyalty programs to fully link with an ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) in South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redemptions Starting at Just 700 Miles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AAdvantage members, who can enroll for free, now have access to flight redemptions on jetsmart.com starting at just 700 miles. This expansion allows travelers to maximize the value of their miles with access to destinations like Cartagena, Cusco, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Patagonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe World is Getting Closer\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Under this slogan, American Airlines and JetSMART launched the campaign accompanying this integration, which offers greater flexibility and an ever-expanding network of destinations. Estuardo Ortiz, CEO and founder of JetSMART, stated: \u201cIntegrating the AAdvantage\u00ae program into our network means our passengers can now access even more value and connectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Growing Strategic Alliance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration between the two companies began in 2023 with codeshare flights between the United States and Chile. It later expanded to Peru and Argentina, forming the most extensive combined network between North and South America. Since October 2024, passengers could already earn miles on JetSMART flights; now they can also redeem them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anmol Bhargava, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at American Airlines, emphasized: \u201cWe are proud to announce this new milestone, which allows customers to access destinations in South America with their AAdvantage\u00ae miles while we continue to strengthen connectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JetSMART: Sustained Growth with an Efficient Fleet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The South American airline currently operates the youngest fleet in the region, with 46 new aircraft designed for greater efficiency, lower operating costs, and a reduced carbon footprint. JetSMART has already transported over 39 million passengers and has an ambitious goal: to reach 100 aircraft and 100 million passengers by 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00edctor Mej\u00eda, Chief Commercial Officer of JetSMART, added: \u201cThis is a significant milestone. We are proud to be the first ULCC in the region to fully integrate with this world-class program.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
