Vietjet<\/strong>, Vietnam\u2019s largest private airline, has taken a key step in its growth strategy by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the acquisition of 100 A321neo<\/strong> aircraft. The agreement, announced during the Paris Air Show, strengthens a strategic partnership that has already been instrumental in the airline\u2019s expansion across Asia and other international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing ceremony was led by Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong and Beno\u00eet de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, Executive Vice President of Sales for Airbus Commercial Aircraft. The order also includes the option to acquire an additional 50 units in the future, signaling robust and sustained growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Vietjet, emphasized that this agreement marks a turning point: “These modern and efficient aircraft have been pivotal to Vietjet\u2019s growth, enabling us to make air travel more accessible and affordable for millions of people. This partnership reinforces our role as a catalyst for economic development, cultural exchange, and global connectivity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 AirAsia Prepares an Order for at Least 100 Airbus A220 Aircraft<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a current fleet of over 100 Airbus aircraft, Vietjet aims to solidify its presence as a multinational aviation group by modernizing its fleet and expanding its international reach. The addition of the A321neo complements the recent order for A330neo aircraft, formalized just weeks ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A321neo: Efficiency, Sustainability, and Comfort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The A321neo is the highest-capacity model in Airbus\u2019 best-selling A320neo family. Featuring next-generation engines and Sharklet wingtip devices, it delivers significant operational improvements. According to Airbus, the A321neo achieves a 50% reduction in noise levels and over 20% savings in fuel consumption and CO\u2082 emissions compared to previous-generation single-aisle aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond its efficiency, the A321neo offers the widest single-aisle cabin in the market, enhancing passenger comfort without compromising operational economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Beno\u00eet de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, the order highlights the operational synergy between Airbus models: “The A321neo and A330neo are perfect partners for Vietjet\u2019s continued expansion, allowing the airline to efficiently match capacity to network demand. Vietjet will also benefit from the high levels of technical commonality, a unique advantage of Airbus\u2019 latest-generation aircraft.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new order underscores Vietjet\u2019s commitment to a modern, versatile, and sustainable fleet, aligning with the challenges and opportunities of post-pandemic global aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
