Both companies will work on innovative solutions to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improve thermal efficiency, enabling further reductions in fuel consumption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Incorporate advanced materials to enhance engine durability and reliability, lowering maintenance costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Optimize the integration of the engine, nacelle, and aircraft to refine aerodynamics and overall performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/06\/uni-air-places-largest-atr-aircraft-order-since-2017.html\">UNI Air Places Largest ATR Aircraft Order Since 2017<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Progress Toward Hybrid-Electric Propulsion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most groundbreaking aspects of the agreement is the exploration of the disruptive potential of hybrid-electric propulsion. This technology will be considered as part of the feasibility study for the future ATR &#8216;EVO,&#8217; with the goal of combining the technical expertise of both companies to elevate regional aircraft efficiency through electrified systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proven Results: PW127XT-M by the Numbers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, over 1,300 ATR aircraft in service are powered by Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada engines, including more than 60 equipped with the PW127XT-M model. Since its entry into service in 2022, this engine has demonstrated tangible results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over 300,000 cumulative flight hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>40% improvement in time on wing, extending the engine\u2019s lifespan between maintenance intervals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>20% reduction in maintenance costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 3% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to previous models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, CEO of ATR, emphasized: &#8220;Since our pioneering collaboration with the PW120 in the 1980s, ATR and Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada have consistently raised the bar for regional aviation.
