Valued at $3.6 billion at list prices, this contract represents one of the most significant deals of the year in the regional aviation segment and will be included in the Brazilian manufacturer\u2019s second-quarter order backlog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deliveries of these aircraft will begin in 2027, marking a new chapter in the nearly four-decade-long partnership between the two companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SkyWest: The E-Jets Giant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With an active fleet of 263 aircraft and 16 more on order, SkyWest solidifies its position as the world\u2019s largest operator of regional E175 jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chip Childs, President and CEO of SkyWest, emphasized: \u201cAs the largest global owner and operator of the E175, we are thrilled to continue expanding our fleet and enhancing our dual-class cabin offering. The E175 remains the backbone of regional aviation in North America, and this decision reflects SkyWest\u2019s confidence in the performance, reliability, and comfort of our aircraft.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Historic Partnership That Keeps Growing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The relationship between Embraer and SkyWest began in 1986 when the airline acquired five EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft. By 1997, after 25 years in the market, the airline was operating over 40 units of that model. In 2013, the alliance was renewed with the purchase of 100 E175 aircraft. Today, with this new agreement, SkyWest reaffirms its leading role in the expansion of E-Jets across North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This order carries strategic weight in the competitive regional aviation market. It not only strengthens SkyWest\u2019s position as a key operator in the United States but also bolsters Embraer\u2019s presence in a segment where the E175 remains the preferred choice for its
