The Dominican airline Arajet<\/strong>, alongside Tourism Minister David Collado, announced the launch of a new direct route between Punta Cana and C\u00f3rdoba, Argentina. This operation marks a significant milestone in the company\u2019s expansion strategy and strengthens tourism ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Historic Milestone: First Direct Connection Between Punta Cana and C\u00f3rdoba<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With this new route, Arajet becomes the first international airline to offer non-stop flights between Punta Cana and C\u00f3rdoba. Ticket sales will begin on July 1, 2025, and operations will commence on November 8 of the same year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, flights will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing Argentine travelers with a comfortable and accessible option to enjoy the beaches, culture, and hospitality of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the announcement, Minister David Collado emphasized Argentina\u2019s importance for tourism in the Dominican Republic. Currently, Argentina ranks as the third-largest source of tourists to the country, trailing only the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far in 2025, the Argentine market has shown a 100% growth in visitor numbers, driven by increased flight frequencies and the opening of new routes like the one to C\u00f3rdoba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Argentina is now the third most important source of tourists for the Dominican Republic, thanks to increased frequencies, as Arajet has done, and the launch of new routes like this one to C\u00f3rdoba,” stated Collado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enhanced Connectivity: More Flights to Buenos Aires<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arajet is not only focusing on C\u00f3rdoba. The airline also confirmed that starting December 12, 2025, it will resume the Santo Domingo-Buenos Aires route, with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the company will increase its weekly flights between Punta Cana and Buenos Aires to 13, significantly expanding options for the Argentine market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18 Weekly Flights Between the Dominican Republic and Argentina by the End of 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With all these new frequencies and destinations, Arajet will close 2025 with a total of 18 weekly flights between the Dominican Republic and Argentina, solidifying a historic milestone in direct connectivity between the two nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00edctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, highlighted that this growth is part of a joint strategy with the Ministry of Tourism: “The sustained growth of our operations in Argentina reflects a joint strategy that has firmly committed to opening new markets and strengthening the Dominican Republic\u2019s position as a leading destination in the region.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arajet\u2019s announcement reinforces the Dominican Republic\u2019s positioning as the new air hub of the Caribbean, efficiently connecting South America with the most sought-after destinations in the Caribbean, Central America, and North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
