The initiative, carried out in collaboration with CAE and Technovation Girls, allowed 35 teenagers to explore aviation professions that have traditionally had low female representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Immersive Experience in Key Facilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During an intense and eye-opening day, the participants visited CAE&#8217;s facilities, a specialized center for crew training. There, they experienced flying in professional simulators used by real pilots, gaining an authentic perspective of the operational environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, the group moved to various technical areas of Iberia Maintenance: the Engine Workshop, Components Workshop, Test Bench, and Hangar 6. These spaces, essential for maintaining Iberia&#8217;s fleet and those of over 100 international airlines, provided a firsthand look at the daily work of technicians, engineers, and specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/06\/iberia-sets-course-for-future-invests-e6-billion-in-flight-plan-2030.html\">Iberia Sets Course for Future: Invests \u20ac6 Billion in Flight Plan 2030<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mar\u00eda Bello, Iberia&#8217;s Director of People and Diversity, emphasized the importance of sparking interest from an early age: &#8220;We firmly believe that inspiring careers from the earliest ages is key to building a more diverse future. It\u2019s deeply inspiring to see how these young women are drawn to professions where female representation has historically been low.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these words, Bello reaffirmed the program\u2019s mission: to open doors, create role models, and highlight career opportunities in a sector with vast growth potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part of Iberia\u2019s Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Quiero Ser&#8221; is part of Iberia\u2019s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan. This plan aims to increase the presence of women at all levels of the aviation industry, ensuring equal opportunities and breaking down cultural and gender barriers that limit access to certain professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The success of this fourth edition reflects the program\u2019s transformative potential, not only for the young participants but also for the entire aviation industry,
