As of July 1, Oman Air<\/strong> has officially become the fifteenth member of the Oneworld<\/strong> alliance. The inclusion of the Sultanate of Oman\u2019s national airline strengthens the alliance\u2019s footprint in the Middle East and opens key new connections, particularly to the Persian Gulf and South Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Nat Pieper, CEO of Oneworld, \u201cOman Air brings valuable strategic reach and award-winning products and services to the alliance.\u201d The enthusiasm is no coincidence: the Omani carrier has grown to operate 42 destinations across 22 countries and territories, with Muscat International Airport as its hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Routes and Benefits for Frequent Flyers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With its entry into Oneworld, the airline has launched a direct route between Muscat and Amsterdam, further integrating into the global aviation network. Alliance travelers can now earn and redeem miles on Oman Air flights, as well as accrue status points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oneworld\u2019s Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby tiers also gain access to perks like priority check-in, boarding, and VIP lounge access. Exclusive benefits for Oman Air\u2019s elite travelers include entry to nearly 700 lounges worldwide, including newly inaugurated spaces at Schiphol (Amsterdam) and Incheon (Seoul) airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oman Air\u2019s CEO, Con Korfiatis, celebrated joining the alliance as an opportunity to share Omani culture with the world: \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Oneworld customers to the Sultanate of Oman to experience our unique culture, stunning mountain excursions, beautiful beaches, and above all, the warm hospitality of the Omani people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has proven it meets the alliance\u2019s standards. Its services feature three cabin classes, with the Business Studio\u2014featuring private suites on long-haul flights\u2014standing out. At the 2025 APEX Awards, Oman Air was recognized for Best Food & Beverage and Best Cabin Service in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, in late 2024, it became one of only 10 airlines worldwide to receive the APEX WORLD CLASS by YATES+ award. It was also the first to earn the same distinction for its Business Class Lounge at Muscat International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oman Air\u2019s membership reinforces Oneworld\u2019s position as the premium alliance for international travelers.
