According to Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, CEO of Garuda, the airline is negotiating to add Boeing 737 Max 8 and Boeing 787-9 models to its fleet. While a clear timeline for finalizing the transaction has not been set, this purchase marks a critical step in Garuda\u2019s recovery. In 2024, the airline reported a net loss. Panjaitan emphasized that discussions with Boeing are ongoing but did not specify whether this acquisition would be part of a broader agreement under anticipated commercial and investment deals between Indonesia and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
