This expansion aligns with its strategy to solidify the Hub of the Americas, located at Tocumen International Airport in Panama, as the region\u2019s premier connection center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Route to Los Cabos: A Luxury Destination in Mexico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting December 4, 2025, Copa Airlines will launch regular flights to Los Cabos, an iconic tourist destination in Mexico. Located at the southern tip of the Baja California Sur peninsula, Los Cabos is renowned for its unique blend of desert and sea, along with its crystal-clear beaches. The famous stone Arch, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, is just one of the natural wonders that attract visitors from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Los Cabos route will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. As part of efforts to revitalize connections between Panama and the Caribbean region, Copa Airlines will resume flights to Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. Starting January 15, 2026, the airline will offer three weekly frequencies (Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). Flights will depart from Tocumen International Airport at 11:26 a.m. (local time) and arrive at Cibao International Airport at 2:56 p.m. (local time) the following day. Return flights will leave at 3:51 p.m., arriving in Panama at 5:43 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salvador Bahia: A Direct Link to Brazil<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another reactivated route by Copa Airlines connects Panama with Salvador Bahia in Brazil. Beginning January 7, 2026, the airline will operate four weekly frequencies (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays). Flights will depart from Panama at 4:03 p.m. (local time) and arrive at Salvador Deputado Lu\u00eds Eduardo Magalh\u00e3es International Airport at 12:30 a.m. (local time) the next day. Return flights will depart Salvador Bahia at 1:30 a.m. (local time) and land in Panama at 6:45 a.m. (local time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these new routes and reactivations, Copa Airlines continues to strengthen its leadership in Latin American aviation. The airline now serves 91 destinations across 32 countries in Central America, South America, North America, and the Caribbean.
