The announcement was made during the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The direct connection to one of the world\u2019s most important airports strengthens Gulf Air\u2019s presence on the continent and aligns with a carefully planned expansion strategy focused on key, high-value markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details of the New Route: Bahrain \u2014 New York (JFK)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Flights will commence on October 1, 2025, operating three times per week. The aircraft selected for this route are the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, renowned for their operational efficiency and onboard comfort, reinforcing the airline\u2019s premium approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/07\/emirates-tops-global-ranking-of-most-recommended-brands-in-2025-by-yougov.html\">Emirates Tops Global Ranking of Most Recommended Brands in 2025 by YouGov<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the initial phase, flights will depart from Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport. However, Gulf Air plans to relocate its operations to the airport\u2019s new Terminal 1 in June 2026\u2014a more modern facility that will further enhance the travel experience for its passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeffrey Goh, CEO of Gulf Air Group, emphasized the significance of the announcement: \u201cWe are thrilled to announce the launch of our direct flights to JFK and our return to the North American market.
