The London airport of Heathrow <\/strong>unveiled a firm and ready-to-execute proposal this Friday: the construction of a third runway entirely financed with private capital, which could be operational in less than ten years. This project, valued at \u00a321 billion, represents a direct commitment to the economic growth of the UK and its leadership in global connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Flights, Better Prices, and Greater Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The expansion would allow the airport to handle up to 756,000 flights and 150 million passengers annually, unlocking at least 30 new daily routes and strengthening domestic connections. This will translate into more destination options, better schedules, and more competitive fares, thanks to increased competition among airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a complete transformation of the airfield is planned, promising faster takeoffs and more spacious, accessible terminals. The new “T5X” terminal, along with the expansion of Terminal 2 and the construction of three satellite terminals, are part of this ambitious overhaul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
