Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has revoked the administrative sanction imposed last June that restricted Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas <\/strong>from adding new routes and frequencies to that country. The resolution had limited the company’s expansion starting in September, affecting its growth plans in its main international market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Documentary, Non-Operational Violations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the airline, the measure was related to compliance failures of an “exclusively documentary nature” dating back to before 2023. In its official statement, the airline emphasized that there were no allegations related to operational safety or the quality of its service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the efforts of its technical teams, the company submitted the required documentation and managed to comply with the Brazilian authority’s requirements in less than 60 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Strategic Market: 88 Weekly Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Brazil represents the most important international destination for Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas. Currently, the airline operates 88 weekly flights to Curitiba, Florian\u00f3polis, Porto Alegre, Porto Seguro, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador de Bahia, and Sao Paulo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the sanction lifted, the company will be able to resume its plans to expand service to new Brazilian cities and increase frequencies on its most in-demand routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fine and Official Resolution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The sanction had been imposed on June 20th through Resolution 17.252, published in the Official Gazette of the Union. It also included a fine of approximately US$35,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the restriction did not affect the 88 weekly flights it was already operating, it did prevent increasing frequencies or adding new destinations, which could have compromised its scheduling for the peak summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the lifting of the measure, Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas confirmed that it will continue operating with the highest standards of safety and quality, reaffirming its commitment to national and international aeronautical authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
