Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS)<\/strong> has introduced a new onboard service concept for its long-haul Business and First Class passengers, combining a more sophisticated culinary offering with carefully selected comfort elements. According to the airline, this is the most extensive service overhaul in its history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heike Birlenbach, Chief Commercial Officer of SWISS, stated that following the refurbishment of the Economy and Premium Economy products announced in March, this new step aims to provide an experience comparable to that of a high-end restaurant in mid-flight, with greater variety, personalization, and a reinforced emphasis on Swiss hospitality. “We’re not just talking about transportation, but an unforgettable experience,” she emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The executive added that the redesign encompassed everything from tableware development to product and process selection. “Our teams on the ground and in the air have worked passionately to ensure the final experience is impeccable,” she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Features in SWISS Business<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The journey begins after takeoff with a typical Swiss aperitif, now accompanied by a fresh touch such as olives and a varied selection of beverages, including the SWISS Alpine Essence, an exclusive cocktail created for the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, passengers enjoy a full meal service, with each dish presented individually on a set table, including a new soup course. The culinary offering is expanded with a greater variety of cheeses, desserts, and a selection of pralines from Aeschbach Chocolatier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For rest, the cabin features refreshed bedding and, on night flights longer than ten hours, a Muntagnard sleep shirt and an additional seat cover. The amenity kits, developed in collaboration with the Swiss brand VIU, include care items with the exclusive Alpine Valley fragrance created by Soeder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience is complemented by high-quality headphones for enjoying the entertainment system and a wider range of snacks and beverages available between meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exclusivity in SWISS First<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The redesign in First Class focuses on individuality and distinction. All food and beverage service is now presented on fine porcelain with modern design and black accents that elevate the level of sophistication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience begins before takeoff with traditional ap\u00e9ro fl\u00fbtes from Confiserie Spr\u00fcngli, accompanied by the passenger’s beverage of choice, including the SWISS Alpine Essence cocktail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once in flight, a trio of amuse-bouches is served, followed by cold delicacies presented directly at the seat from a service cart. A seasonal sorbet acts as a refreshing interlude, and the main meal concludes with a cheese course\u2014five varieties\u2014and an expanded selection of breads. The service finishes with pralines and more sweet specialties from Spr\u00fcngli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a new feature, longer daytime flights now include an afternoon tea, with selected teas and a combination of sweet and savory items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onboard comfort includes pajamas and slippers from Zimmerli of Switzerland, high-quality bedding, and a toiletry kit with Sisley products. Personalized attention adds items from brands such as Rohner and VIU, while the Alpine Valley fragrance by Soeder is applied to warm towels, pillow sprays, and care products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noise-canceling headphones complete the entertainment experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS Senses: A Comprehensive Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This relaunch is part of SWISS Senses, the new long-haul travel experience concept, which focuses not only on the service offering but also on a comprehensive cabin redesign. This includes state-of-the-art seats, attractive ambient lighting, and a design proposal that conveys Swiss hospitality across all travel classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
