Ryanair <\/strong>confirmed the complete installation of new carry-on baggage measuring devices at all 235 airports it serves across Europe. Starting this Thursday, September 4th, passengers will be able to bring one piece of carry-on luggage free of charge, measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm\u2014dimensions that exceed the European Union standard (40 x 30 x 15 cm) by 33%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Direct Benefit for Passengers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Irish airline specified that this free carry-on item must be stowed under the passenger’s seat. Those wishing to bring an additional piece may do so through the Priority Boarding service, available during the booking process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dara Brady, the company’s Marketing Director, emphasized the importance of this measure: “From today, Ryanair\u2019s new free carry-on luggage is 33% larger than the EU standard. We have modified the size of baggage measuring devices at all airports to accommodate this larger free carry-on. All passengers who wish to bring a second piece of carry-on luggage can do so using our Priority Boarding service. Additionally, passengers may also opt to check in baggage during the reservation process. We hope our customers enjoy these larger free carry-on items, but any passenger who does not comply with these new, more generous limits will be required to pay the baggage check-in fee at the gate.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional Options for More Comfortable Travel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to Priority Boarding, customers have the alternative of checking their baggage at the time of booking. The airline warned that passengers exceeding the permitted cabin baggage dimensions will be required to pay the check-in fee at the gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
