The airline will operate between two and three weekly flights, connecting the Icelandic capital with the Turkish metropolis in approximately five hours and 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enhanced Partnership with Turkish Airlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of this route also marks an important step in expanding the codeshare agreement between Icelandair and Turkish Airlines, initially established in the summer of 2023. Thanks to this cooperation, passengers now have access to smoother connections between Iceland and multiple destinations in Asia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/06\/air-india-and-icelandair-announce-codeshare-agreement.html\">Air India and Icelandair Announce Codeshare Agreement<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The synergies between both airlines reduce overall travel times and facilitate access to strategic markets, both for tourists and business travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bogi Nils Bogason, President and CEO of the Icelandic airline, emphasized the importance of this project: \u201cAfter extensive planning, we are thrilled to see the launch of our service to Istanbul and to deepen our collaboration with Turkish Airlines. This route opens up new and convenient travel corridors between Iceland and the East, responding to the growing demand for travel between Asia and Iceland.
