The service will operate once a week, on Saturdays. This marks the fourth Portuguese city added to the carrier&#8217;s network, which already includes connections to Lisbon, Porto, and soon, Madeira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mantas Vrubliauskas, Vice President of Network Management at the airline, emphasized that this move strengthens airBaltic&#8217;s position as a leading operator in the Baltic countries: &#8220;This new destination opens a direct gateway for Latvian travelers to the Algarve, one of Europe&#8217;s most attractive leisure regions, while simultaneously offering Portuguese passengers a convenient connection to Riga and beyond.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Expansion for Winter 2025-2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of the Faro route is part of a broader winter schedule that includes several new additions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gran Canaria \u2013 Ljubljana: Flights commencing October 25, 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tallinn \u2013 Madeira: Service starting October 26, 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the airline will increase frequencies to Amsterdam, with 19 weekly flights from Riga, and 14 weekly flights each from Tallinn and Vilnius. This enhancement strengthens access to one of Europe&#8217;s key hub airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/09\/portugal-sets-conditions-for-tap-air-sale-growth-strategic-routes-and-employee-participation.html\">Portugal Sets Conditions for TAP Air Sale: Growth, Strategic Routes, and Employee Participation<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Dubai, airBaltic will expand its presence with daily flights from Riga and double the frequencies from Vilnius, reaching four weekly services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Leisure and Sun Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The winter schedule also includes the extension of summer seasonal routes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Riga \u2013 Pisa and Riga \u2013 Porto will continue operating until November.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Riga \u2013 Catania will begin earlier than usual, in March 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It also features reinforced service to Egypt: three weekly frequencies to Sharm El-Sheikh and another three to Hurghada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Riga \u2013 Dublin route will be resumed, with two weekly flights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skiing and Active Tourism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For winter sports enthusiasts, airBaltic will offer an extensive network of Alpine and Nordic destinations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Innsbruck and Salzburg in Austria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Geneva in Switzerland.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verona in Italy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kittil\u00e4 in Finland.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This provides connections to some of Europe&#8217;s most renowned ski centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Constantly Growing Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, airBaltic operates over 130 routes from its bases in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria.
